My new house is ready! Everything is clean, the bath tub and taps are shining and water is running with no incidents.The ceramic squares that cover the kitchen floor are beige, those in the bathroom are blue and dark blue, the halls are covered with light beige ones. My mother wanted the halls floors covered by ceramic squares as she thought it will be easier to clean it. What carpets will fit the two bedrooms at the first floor? What curtains fit the rooms and what new ones are to be bought? In the last 20 years one may choose here in my East-European country between stylish objects and common ones that can be bought by most of the people here. I have to visit a few stores with these kind of products to see what's the best for our house. My mother is a pensioneer, so she does not feel like running from a maket to another to see the goods. I have to do it, but it is not the most unpleasant job to do in the world since she offers most of the money. Now, let's see what I've found. Here are the thin nylon and cotton curtains with a floral model as you like, mother, even though I've seen some of a new kind, something with embroidered models on a simple veil, but I don't like them too much. Do you want something like that for some windows in the house like those at the second floor or something? Ok, we'll see what else we can get next month. Here are the thick velvet curtains for the windows in the halls. No, they are not OK, but I can use the cloth for a nice suite, what do you say? The curtains or nothing, all right! I'll try to find some chinese stripes for these windows tomorrow. This is a small bath carpet set, what do you say? I'm glad you think they fit so much the colour of the bath! I must tell you that I've bought a few towels that are in a great harmony with the rest of it. Sorry, I should have not. Still, I've seen also a great bath dress that would have been great ! OK, I'll wait for Santa's decision, and let's see the carpets for the rooms. Great, great, great! See, I managed to administer greatly our fonds! We roll the carpets on the floors and they are really great, not a crowdy model and of decent light beige and brown that fit everything in the rooms. I show mom the two armchairs that can be used as beds and she cannot believe her eyes! They are filled with air, cheap and absolutely comfortable! I grab a black plastic support for flowers and I put a piece of light brown ceramic on it, and I have already two chairs and a table for coffee! Mom is glad to have a hot instant coffee with me, but be it a slight one, her heart not to be in trouble because of it. After coffee and sweets I show mom my new room companions, that are two blue and white parrots in a golden cage. God, What are you going to do with them? Are going to let them endirty the new wood floors and the carpets?, Ok, Ok, mother, let's find a place for them on the halls! My mother's heart starts to ache at the thought that the nails in the walls would damage the painting, so I have to find a place for them, to put the cage on a high support so that they can enjoy the gentle light through our new curtains...I put the cage on a support for clothes, now mom is relaxed and the poor birdies can enjoy the place.Mom won't live here. She loves our appartment best, but a house offers a lot of possibilities for enjoying silence and reading, and space for trying out what's new in the seeds stores. So the place it's all for me. I give mom a lift home and I come back with a few sheets and bathing necessary scents. Home sweet home, here I am!
